Yungaba Residence

I had the privilege of furnishing one of the ten residences in Yungaba House. Nestled in one of Brisbane’s most iconic heritage buildings, it was originally built in 1885, as Queensland's Immigration House.
My inspiration was Raffles Hotel Singapore, which was built approximately the same time. 
I wanted to create an overall design that celebrates Australia's flora & fauna, with a twist of colonial heritage, timeless elegance, as well as being cosy, relaxing & somewhat whimsical.

My clients bachelor pad, was already a beautiful home. 
However, with the additional furnishings and pops of colour throughout, it has created a more luxurious feel to the overall design.

Brookfield Home

My intention for this space was to create a more classic/ timeless design.
The home is located in the countryside, so I felt the earthier, more organic tones, flow better.

Norman Park - Family media room

I was brought in by my client for a second time. 
This time to re-design their media (home theatre) room.
Having a baby & toddler, they required plenty of storage & as they would say, BULLET PROOF furnishings!
Not only did we transform the room, we also removed the dark carpet & replaced it with very similar tiles to the rest of the home.
We also wanted the room to flow with the other rooms in the home (that I had designed), creating a light & fresh feel.
We installed both sheer & blockout curtains so the room can be darkened for movie time!

Kingsholme House

My clients built their home, so they wanted it furnished with items that complimented and enhanced the beauty of the build.
Situated on a hill with beautiful country views, we designed the rooms with this in mind. Creating warmth throughout with more natural tones.

My own kitchen

I recently completed my own kitchen!
It's actually from IKEA, with additions of bronze tinted splash backs, custom-made island bench on lockable caster wheels and additional wooden shelving.
I also had my electrician install LED strip lights under the cabinetry and new pendant light.
Due to not having much natural light, I felt a dark kitchen would better suit my apartment.

My clients recently bought this property and wanted to put their personality and character into it. 

* Firstly, they wanted a blue and white based bedroom, which is warm and inviting to relax in and I think we achieved successfully!

We also enclosed the ensuite as it was open to the bedroom and they weren't keen on that. We then adorned it with some pots & plants to tone down the existing marble and replaced the vanity fronts in white.

* The media room we worked around two existing artworks so it was given a warm palette which creates a cosy area within the middle of the home.

* The kitchen, dining and living room are all opened planned, so I wanted them to flow seamlessly and also inject some personality with the elegant furnishings.
We also wanted an indoor/outdoor feel as the bi-fold doors open up completely to create this.

Client is extremely happy with the outcome and so are we :-)

My clients recently bought this property and wanted to inject some personality and colour into it. It was originally a cold, grey and white interior.
So we added layers of texture throughout with luxury accessories.

I believe we have achieved the goal.

Dani Louis Design was brought in to furnish this several apartments in this stunning architecturally designed apartment building. 
Nestled in the heart of Brisbane trendy hotspot Fortitude Valley, I felt it required fresh pops of colour in the furnishings that would suit young professionals or a family who all love what The Valley has to offer!.
All furnishings were purchased to be included in the sale or rental of property, so you can move in with it all designed no fuss!

Home Wine/ Bar room

My client wanted to surprise her husband with his own wine bar underneath their home. He is from an Italian background so we created a traditional room that is full of warmth and character.
They have so many bottles of wines, champagnes and spirits, that we really needed to create a lot of storage, without the room appearing cramped.
By using the gap between the wall and the stairs, we could add all the cabinetry for the wines.
We also built additional storage underneath the stairs, as well as a wine fridge and wall hung TV. 
The clients were absolutely thrilled with the end result, as am I!

My client lives interstate and wanted DLD to update his investment property for rental fully furnished.
We selected new furnishings, re-carpeted, installed new lighting and styled the it ready for tenants to move in. 
The result was it rented before we even finished at $150 more per week!

Within no time at all they both sold for their asking price.

Riverfront Apartment - Kangaroo Point, Brisbane

This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment is fantastically located in front of the Brisbane River in the exclusive suburb of Kangaroo Point.

The owners wanted the renovation to reflect a high-quality design to match the location and position of the apartment.

This apartment is in the rental pool with the building's management, so they wanted it to compete well with all the new apartments built and being built in the area.

Dani Louis Design renovated the bathrooms, laundry, upgraded the kitchen with new cabinetry fronts. We repainted, carpeted, installed new window treatments, lighting, fans and then fully furnished.

I wanted the apartment to reflect a marriage of traditional and contemporary furniture, finishes, materials and fabrics equating to a classic, timeless design. 
A simple yet sophisticated environment whom anyone would be happy to rent for a holiday in Brisbane!

I added the BEFORE photos and the initial mood boards I designed before I started the work.

My client required some modern furniture pieces for the home he had built. 
For the entry hall, we had the console and the mirror especially made and we created the potted orchid plants. 

The artwork in the stairwell was selected to reflect the entry design.
Then the TV unit we created simple bowls of foliage to give it a Zen feel.

The client wanted a complete renovation of her two bedroom, two bathroom apartment as well as all decor guidance and styling from Dani Louis Design.

The brief was to achieve a glamorous Parisian style feel with very modern clean lined bathrooms.

We also wanted to create a calm environment with deliciously soft, comfortable furnishings to sink into after a long day at work.

Storage was also a priority to be designed in the project to provide a clutter-free space.

The client has relocated to Melbourne and has achieved the highest rental in the complex.

The client has a beautiful home full of original features and had an existing dining table/chairs, buffet and artwork for us to work with. We expanded on the rest by selecting relevant pieces, to create gorgeous living spaces that have a classic, elegant, timeless style about them. We re-painted the all the internal walls and hung beautiful relaxed patterned linen curtains. As well as all new lighting and accessories, which has brought life and interest to the home.
It was an absolute pleasure to work on a project embracing old world charm, however creating and design relevant to the present day.

5 Townhouses - Annerley

This architecturally designed, this brand new freestanding townhouse has been my current project completed.
I was involved in internal and external colours and finishes and once again the developers required Dani Louis Design to Home Style with the existing furniture we have used on previous developments.

The property sold before it's 1st Open Inspection for a whopping $697,500. 
Once again we have broken our previous record sale price for the area.

Bathroom transformations

The brief was to create bright and airy bathrooms with a classic modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
One of the original bathrooms lacked good natural light and the tiles were very dark, creating a very heavy atmosphere.

Working within a tight budget, I incorporated 300 x 600mm soft matt finish white tiles on the main walls, so I could invest in a beautiful Italian feature tile. 
The tile pattern creates a sense of rippling water and the floor tile 600 x 600mm also has some lovely movement in it, which provides a more natural classic design. 
Good lighting is important to making any space look big and open, so as well as the downlights, I decided to incorporate beautiful sconce above the vanity which provides additional good lighting and elegance. The floating vanities also make the area feel a notch more open. I love including a piece of artwork in bathrooms to provide a bit of interest and to create a room you would want to spend time and relax in!

Dani Louis Design were brought in to help improve the property for sale. 
It had been on the market 6 months earlier but had not reached the target price. 
So with our design consultation, implementing simple but effective changes. Eg: Re-painting in more contemporary colour, wallpapering, change of lighting, additional feature tiles in the bathrooms, framing of bathroom mirrors, painting fences outside, planting and most importantly Home Staging the property for sale.
With our improvements, the owners made an additional $150k in increased profit.

The clients brief was to create a traditional kitchen combining some of their existing furniture. We elaborated with accessories, artwork. lighting and new colour scheme. Overall achieving a cosy hub for the family and friends.

This is an investment property which was in dire need of a facelift!
We reconfigured the kitchen, updated the bathrooms, closed in the wall of the mezzanine bedroom so it became a proper bedroom. New flooring, window treatments, lighting, painting. Dani Louis Design selected all the furniture and accessories so the tenants could move straight back in.

West End Brisbane

This magnificent Queenslander required Dani Louis Design to re-design the Ensuite.
We were engaged to come up with a design that was both masculine and feminine for the couple. This was achieved by separating the tile design, selecting lighting, tapware, fixtures & fittings that also complimented their individual tastes.
Builders were contracted by the client to run with Dani Louis Design concepts.

My clients live in a warehouse apartment and wanted an industrial design to fit in with the look and feel of the building. They love clean lines, no clutter and classic modern design. The floor tiles, running up the shower wall has gorgeous movement within it, so I kept it simple with a soapstone white tile for the other areas as not to make it too busy.
Dani Louis Design was engaged to create the desired look and select the materials and client engaged their builder of choice.
